Blue Magic Smoothie Bowl

So your first question is probably, what makes this smoothie blue?! And your second is probably, is it good for you? The answers are blue algae, and YES!

Blue algae (or blue spirulina) has so many different health benefits, from reducing inflammation, to improving immune system response, to supporting with a healthy metabolism, and more. Plus it makes me feel like a little kid again getting to eat bright blue foods (without having to worry about additives and dyes wreaking havoc on my body). So you can expect to see lots of blue recipes coming your way now that I have this secret ingredient at my disposal!

DIRECTIONS:

1. Combine the following in a high-speed blender: 1.5 cups coconut milk, 1 serving of protein of your choice (I like Vital Proteins collagen peptides), 1 tbsp cashew butter, 1/2 frozen banana, 1 tbsp chia seeds, 1 tsp e3Live BlueMajik, ice for consistency.

2. Once thoroughly blended, pour into a bowl and top with your favorite goodies: blueberries, bee pollen, chia seeds, goji berries, granola, cacao, coconut yogurt, pomegranate seeds, etc.

3. Enjoy!!
