My own journey to body empowerment has been filled with many ups and downs. It has been extremely challenging at times, but also incredibly rewarding to have learned countless valuable lessons that I now get to share with all of you.
I have had a passion for nutrition and fitness from a very young age. I've always loved to be in the kitchen and experiment with different recipes, and I began to immerse myself in studying various nutrition topics at age 14. I also fell in love with fitness that same year, trying everything from Pilates and yoga to weight lifting and cycling. I was hooked on the feel-good endorphins I got from moving my body in fun and challenging ways, and I've never looked back! However, my perspective on fitness and nutrition has changed drastically over the years.
I have struggled with eating disorders, injuries from a car accident, and countless other circumstances along the way that felt like setbacks at the time, but turned out to be valuable lessons on my wellness journey. The way that I relate to my body and health now is entirely different than when I first fell in love with healthy living. It is much more balanced, intuitive, playful, and compassionate. And most importantly, it is a relationship based in love rather than fear. I am no longer afraid of the number on the scale, or of the food I am putting in my mouth, or whether or not I workout one day. I now know how to listen to my body, and give it what it's asking for. I now love my body by moving it in ways that feel good, fueling it with delicious and nutritious foods, and celebrating it for its unique shape and strength. And I have to tell you, it's one of the most freeing feelings in the world!
It certainly hasn't been easy, but it has absolutely been worth it to learn these lessons and arrive in a place of self-acceptance I never knew was possible. I am so thrilled to now be able to share all of these lessons with you in the hope that I can guide you along your own journey of body empowerment. And you better believe that as I continue to learn and grow, I will have even more powerful and exciting things to teach and share. If you think you may be ready to take on your health in a new, empowered way, you can learn about what it's like to work with me. I look forward to hearing your story, and can't wait to see what we can create together!
Additionally, as a writer and speaker, it is my pleasure and honor to get to share my wellness journey and knowledge with audiences looking to make sustainable change in their lives.
Thank you for being a part of my journey!
