WHAT IS AN EMPOWERED BODY?
An empowered body starts with self-love.
It's a body that is nourished with lots of fresh, wholesome foods. It's a body that is moved in ways that feel good. It's a body that is given rest when it's needed. And it innately knows when it's time to rest and when it's time to play. It's a body who is pushed to grow stronger, yet whose limits are honored and respected. It's a body who is stretched and massaged and well-cared for. It is healthy and radiant and gorgeous, from the inside-out.
Body empowerment is cultivated from a desire to treat your physical self as the beautiful miracle that it is. An empowered body is never forced to be something that it is not. It is not treated as if it's disposable. It is not overworked and under-nourished, nor is it underworked and over-nourished. In order to learn how to empower your body, you must be willing to stop judging and criticizing it. You must be willing to love and accept it exactly as it is. You must be willing to treat it with respect, feed it the foods it is longing for, move it often, and to listen to its infinite wisdom. You must be willing to do the work to heal your fears about food, exercise, the numbers on the scale or in your clothes, and looking in the mirror. Once you commit yourself to this journey, a world of peace, love and freedom about your body that once seemed unattainable will soon become your reality.
